With PowerVIZ PE the graphical user interface is operated from a separate workstation display allowing the audience to concentrate on the 3D stereo rendering at the large projection screen. Navigation and manipulation of the 3D visualization is performed by means of a space mouse connected to the Onyx console.
PowerVIZ PE leverages the high performance of your multi-pipe SGI Onyx in combination with a large number of high resolution projectors. For example, 3 InfiniteReality pipes can be combined with 6 XGA projectors to form one passive stereo image on a 6 meter x 2 meter screen at a resolution of 3584 x 1024 pixels (with an edge blending of 128 pixels).
