With openSoftware science + computing offers various service packages for free software. These packages consist of compiled and preconfigured programs for miscellaneous Unix platforms and also include qualified support for installation, configuration, usage and troubleshooting.

We have included freely distributable programs according to their functionality and combined them in various ways. This ensures that you get exactly what you require. Nothing more and nothing less.

In addition to a basic package, which is delivered with each openSoftware installation and contains frequently required utilities, you can choose from the following packages:

Our openSoftware web portal enables you to browse online through the entire range of openSoftware on offer and download the required software packages. This access to the web portal ensures that you can keep your tools as up-to-date as possible: As soon as a new software version is released, you can obtain it here. Also, entirely new software is first available from the web portal. Employing the HTTPS protocol guarantees the highest possible data transmission security via the Internet.

Our update service will deliver new versions of the software packages every six months.

We have paid particular attention to portability and uniform operation of the software, since it is operated in heterogeneous systems. All programs have the same structure on the different platforms and can be administrated and configured in a uniform manner.
