s.cluster - the installation concept

Manual configuration of a typical cluster usually requires days or even weeks. The s.cluster software performs these tasks within a few hours. It automatically installs the operating system, configures the cluster environment, installs your applications and integrates them into already existing or required interfaces. Thereby a fast and safe reproducibility of the availability is guaranteed. A flexible adaptation of the individual knots of the cluster, however, is still possible.

Maintenance with low effort

Defective hardware or new program versions ... - even an s.cluster cannot be managed completely without maintenance. With the s.cluster-concept, however, maintenance is very easy. Replacement hardware can be easily integrated in the existing system. The central s.cluster management takes care that the correct configuration is reinstalled in best time. The batch system LSF takes care of an optimal resource management of the cluster.
