scVENUS License Tracker - Monitoring results
Overview of monitoring results with scVENUS License Tracker
Basic analyses
scVLT provides the following analyses without any further adaptations:
- license usage: current license usage displayed as a graph in the browser (users can choose the time intervals)
- average/maximum:
- display of the daily average or maximum usage periods as a graph or table
- display of the maximum usage time in the browser for shorter time periods, too
- display of the usage times company-wide and for project groups
- usage documentation: records the usage time of licenses in tables according to application, license feature and user group
- rejected license requests: displays the number of rejected license requests (if supported by the licensing mechanism)
- expiring licenses: displays the licenses that will expire in the near future
Advanced Analysis
In addition to the basic analyses, science + computing can also tailor scVLT to customer requirements. Some typical adaptations include:
- automated billing by department
- special billing based on the time of day or day of the week
- definition and adaptation of further analyses based on customer requirements
- filtering of rejected license requests by reason
- display of the licenses currently in use, including assignment to users/projects
- identification of pending processes that block a license
- docking of the group definition from LDAP or AD for analyses by group
- provision of automated management report as PDF
Further adaptations are available on request.
